The YMCA Camp Piomingo Alumni Association (CPAA) has been developed thanks to the dedication of our volunteer alumni. Alumni, Linda O Travis, Peggy Heustis and Pete Kirven make up the leadership committee. The mission for the CPAA is to reconnected with previous staff members and campers from today to all the way back to when camp first started in 1938. Initial goals: 1. Build alumni, 2. Provide community for alumni, 3. Alumni to act as ambassadors for Piomingo, and 4. Assist in financial development. See what is already happening below and on facebook! Two facebook groups have already started connecting, The 1970’s Piomingo Crew and the 1980’s Piomingo Crew

On May 31, 2008, over 350 former campers, staff, volunteers and other friends of camp reunited in the tradition of Native American lore and walked the grounds of Camp Piomingo to celebrate its’ 70th Birthday. Old friends, some with their families, gathered to share their stories, memorabilia and memories of how their experience at camp - changed their lives.
The magical aspect of camp was evident as generations blended as demonstrated by the look on young eighteen year old counselors’ faces as they intently listened to the stories of former leaders John Rowe, Terry Fuqua and Skip Vogelsang with stories from long ago. Camp truly is ageless.
