- Two-week program
If one week at camp is not enough, then the Explorer program is for you! Campers spend two weeks building and strengthening friendships and having fun, experiencing the camp activities. Explorers also take the next step towards the adventure based activities that camp offers its Teen Programs.
Along with the afternoon activities, campers will have the opportunity to try Rock Climbing, Rappelling, a half-day at the High Ropes Course, movies and campouts under the stars and a full day at Doe Valley Lake for Canoeing, Kayaking, Swimming and Water Trampoline FUN. Intermediate-level Explorer camp is the perfect step between one week beginner-level Pioneer camp and our numerous advanced-level Adventure Teen Camps!
The daily schedule at camp incorporates individual choice with small and large group activities. Each morning children will attend their chosen beginner to intermediate-level clinic session where they have qualified staff instructing them and developing their confidence and skills.
In the afternoon, campers join their cabin mates, along with other cabin groups to swim, play and explore. Rest hour balances activities with quiet time where campers may write letters, read or visit with new friends in their cabins.
Evening programs bring the entire camp together for a variety of fun games and special events. The two week session is completed with a magical final campfire ceremony where campers are brought together to reflect on their experience and receive recognition for participation and cabin unity.
