Locations & Directions

Camp Piomingo is 360 acres of adventure, learning, friendship, character and chances to explore. It is nestled snuggly in the 2,600-acres of Otter Creek Park featuring miles of trails, cliffs for climbing, dense forests, a rich variety of animal life and activities that are second to none.

Located south of Louisville, Kentucky off Highway 1638.Only 45 minutes from Downtown Louisville.

From the North (Louisville):

• Travel South on I-65
• Take exit 125 (I-265 - Gene Snyder Freeway W) toward Ft. Knox
• Take exit 1 and turn left onto 31W-60 (Dixie Hwy) toward Ft. Knox
• Turn right onto 1638 toward Brandenburg
• Turn right onto Otter Creek Park Road
• Turn right into Camp Piomingo

From the South (Nashville):

• Travel North on I-65 past Elizabethtown, KY
• Take exit 102 for Joe Prather Hwy/KY-313 toward Radcliff/Vine Grove
• Drive to Dixie Hwy/ KY-31W (approx. 9 miles)
• Turn right onto KY-31W.
• Drive approx. 11 miles to Muldraugh, KY
• Turn left at KY-1638/Old Mill Road
• Drive 3 ½ miles on KY-1638 to the entrance to Otter Creek Park Road on right
• Turn right into Otter Creek Park
• Drive 2 miles on main Park road until you come to YMCA Camp Piomingo sign
• Turn right into Camp’s driveway and follow signs

Piomingo Electric Gate Instructions

To Enter Camp Piomingo during Business Hours (9am to 5 pm)

• Enter 034, 001, or 002 on the key pad
• Wait for someone to answer your call
• Announce you are at gate
• You will be “buzzed” in (The gate will be opened for you)

To Enter Camp Piomingo After Hours (5pm to 9 am)

• Enter 003 on the key pad
• Wait for someone to answer your call
• Announce you are at gate
• You will be “buzzed” in (The gate will be opened for you)

The electric gate is operated by a regular phone line. If you get voicemail or no answer, please try again.

During check in/out hours for the summer programs the Piomingo Staff will be located at the electric gate to welcome your entry.
