- One and two-week programs
The ultimate outdoor adventure for campers willing to challenge themselves on adventure-filled excursions away from camp!
Before leaving on their trip, campers will participate in advanced-level camp activities, high ropes elements, lots of teambuilding and camp-wide evening activities! They will inspect their own equipment, plan their menu, pack their gear and plan their route of adventure across the U.S. Each session is lead by qualified staff with multiple-year experience in this program. Most away-from-camp adventures are lead by knowledgeable Outfitters whom we rely on to lead more-advanced, specialty trips.
Session One- Two weeks
Campers will visit the US National Whitewater Center (USNWC) in Charlotte, North Carolina. For five days campers will experience the same “man-made” whitewater where the Olympic trials are held. Once campers make their trip down the rapids, they simply ride the conveyor belt back to the top, and do it again. Scheduled activities include natural rock face climbing, rappelling, backpacking, outdoor cooking, high ropes, kayaking, whitewater rafting and a full-day all-access pass at the USNWC.
Session Two- Two weeks
Campers will raft the white water of the Ocoee River in Tennessee. The river is flooded every weekend allowing for class I, II, III and IV rapids. Other activities include backpacking, outdoor cooking, climbing and lots of swimming.
Session Three- Two weeks
Campers will travel to Wisconsin for kayaking and waterfall jumping fun! Lake Superior hosts some of the best scenic sea kayaking in the world. Campers will visit the many sea caves of the Apostle Islands and have the opportunity to traverse down a line of waterfalls, some with only one option…to JUMP! Also planned is a fun two-day rafting trip on the Wolf and Menominee Rivers.
Session Four (climbing week)- One Week
Campers will visit the US National Whitewater Center (USNCW) in Charlotte, North Carolina for four nights. Scheduled activities include natural rock face climbing, rappelling, outdoor cooking, high ropes and a full-day all-access pass at the USNWC.
